iPad Pilot Project

During the 2011-2012 school year, San Juan Unified School district conducted a small scale iPad Pilot project to find out the potential of iPads in the classroom. The project was part of a collective effort by the departments of Special Education and Technology Services to pool limited resources to support students with a variety of instructional needs at six school sites across the district. This project was not a 1:1 iPad pilot, a class set of iPads could be used as a tool for be feasibly shared by multiple classrooms. The pilot spanned grades K-12 and included two elementary, a K-8, a middle school, and two high schools. It supported general and special education students, as well as English Language Learners.
